I use this bit in my 2hp router on a sled flattening river tables. Swapped out the blades for hardwood cutting. So far used it on yew and black walnut and epoxy. Works great! Would highly recommend

Using this to flatten wood slabs, very happy with this bit, ordered and returned 3 other cheaper bits before just spending the money on this one, well worth the money!!! Well balanced and cuts very well.

This bit has a nice, side diameter, which means fewer passes when surfacing and more consistency as a product of that lower number of passes required. Couple that with the fact that it uses carbide inserts that can easily be rotated and ultimately replaced, it's a no brainier. As long as your router can accept a 1/2 inch shank, it's a great bit to have if you have a router sled or CNC machine with a spoil board.

I bought this for my 3hp Makita router to flatten a slab with a router slab. The description says it's a 2" diameter, but it's actually 2.5". The 2" diameter is the cut diameter, not the entire diameter of the bit. So, the bit is too big for my router which is why I didn't give it a higher rating - they should make that more clear on the description. If using a router, not a CNC, then this will probably not fit. Other than that, it does look like a very high quality bit and am very disappointed that I couldn't use it for my project. Maybe the manufacturer can make one similar but with a total diameter of 2" (i.e a cut diameter of 1.5")???

I use this to surface the spoil board on my 4x8 CNC. Works like a dream. You might think a new 3/4 MDF board is flat but its not. Even a few thousands of an inch can screw up your project.

I bought this to flatten wood slabs. I use it with the woodpeckers slab flattening mill. Excellent results. I just flattened a hard maple slab with epoxy in it. Very happy.
