The Ambient Weather WH31PF sealed pool sensor is waterproof, wireless, and floats on the surface of the water. This 8-channel water thermometer features an LCD display with temperatures in °F or °C. Benefits of a sealed pool sensor are that batteries come included, there is no maintenance, no condensation build up in the housing, and no corrosion or leaking from high humidity levels. This sensor is perfect for pools, spas, ponds, tanks, and any other fluid-based applications.
The sensor communicates with many Ambient Weather Stations via 915 MHz with a range of 300 feet line of sight (100 feet in most conditions). When used with one of the above connected weather stations, the WH31PF data can be monitored on the Ambient Weather Network where you can set up text/email alerts for different conditions.
Important Notes & Specifications:
The WH31PF is designed to float. If the WH31PF is used under a cover and the sensor is constantly submerged, the additional pressure will lead to premature failure. Moisture will enter the sensor compartment and cause sensor failure. If you use a pool or spa cover, we suggest ordering the WH31P probed sensor instead.
The WH31PF is sealed from the factory and includes batteries that last up to 3 years. There is no maintenance required. This sensor is designed to be replaced every 2-3 years. When you are ready to replace your sensor, take part in our Ambient Weather Replacement Program.

Bought this after our pool robot ate the probe ambient weather pool thermometer, easier to set up this time around and works perfectly, it connects well with the weather station display screen, the temperature reading is accurate with the mercury thermometer we have in there, it’s made of good durable plastic, you can change the display from Fahrenheit to Celsius, we haven’t had any issues with WiFi connectivity.

I really like this product. Only gave 4 stars because the battery cannot be replaced. For what this cost, it is too expensive for a through away and replace product. Otherwise, it works very well.

We've been using this in our hot tub whenever we travel to monitor the temperature. It works great, super easy to set up. Just turn it on and our base station recognized it almost immediately. Note on our base station it does not show the hot tub temperature. However, I went to the AWS website for our station and it was there as a new panel right away. It is very accurate. Our hot tub sits probably 50 feet from the base station and it works with no issues even with the hot tub cover on.

Used this temp probe in my hot tube. Unit pairs seamless with the Ambient weather station. Unit report temp within a .5 deg for s few weeks and then accuracy feel apart. Off by 4 degrees or more. When in the tube it is covered 90% with the tube cover and the screen has moisture and crazed. This is my 2nd unit, the 1st 1 kept blanking out. Ambient replaced it with no issues. This unit is only 2.5 months. Ambient R&D folks need to work on this one a little more.
