When you put feet inside the skate, the bottom part is still big like a hole but the top part is tight. When you move it hurts your feet. And when you move on the ice, the blade will sometimes become slippery (it is not running smoothly, it will automatically change direction). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT WILL HURT YOU!

These skates lasted me all the way to basics 3 (2 months, skating 2-3 hours a week) but once I started leaning on them more the the heel started ungluing from the boot. So I think these are great if you are just starting and learning swizzles but once you start learning the how to do crossovers I highly recommend buying skates with better support for your ankle or else you could end up with an injury.

This is not a particularly good shoe. But there are no major drawbacks. The price is also cheap, so it is one of the shoes that beginners in ice skating should buy.

I have to admit it had been a very long time since I was back on the ice. As a youngster I spent many many hours skating on the ice with friends from Jr. High School. In my town we had the Ice Chalet to skate indoors and it was quite social and it was cool to be at the Ice Chalet. Fast forward 50 years and I am back at it, friends have a pond that freezes over and invited us over. I needed a pair of skates and thanks to the American Athletic Shoe Company I ordered a pair and even convinced a friend to buy them even before me trying mine out. Great purchase and great value. Being new, they were a bit stiff, but you want good ankle support and they are a great set of skates. Happy that I bought them! When buying you might also consider buying skate guards to put on the blades so you can get from here to there with out dulling your blades since they come sharpened. Also be sure and dry the blades so they do not rust! Have fun!

The first pair, same brand was a size4 for my 10yo son, which he outgrew quickly after 1.5 years of use. We bought a 2nd pair size8 which we added an insole and double-sock to fit nicely for him. It works perfect, and he enjoys skating very much with the pair of skating boots.

I got these skate for my son who is 11. He prefers figure skates over hockey and he loves these. He wears a size 5.5 us and I bought him a size us 6 and they fit him perfectly. These skates do not come sharpened so you will need to sharpen them before using. He has gone skating everyday fir 2 hours a day since he hit them and hasn't once complained of pain or aches. Great skates and a great price.

Fantastic item! Great quality for its cost, and is very true to size--I wear a size 12 sneaker and the size 12 skate fit great, offered plenty of support to the ankle when in use. I've skated with them a couple of times already, and they are holding up great! Easy wipe-off clean after use, and they still look and feel good as new!
