The product was cancelled because it was “lost”. Months later it arrived in terrible condition. The package was mangled and the product was “dry rotted” and stuck to package. Fell apart when package was opened.

Just installed these a week ago. Don't know how long they will last at this point. Good directions provided with the product. I usually just replace the cloth mantels, but I dropped and broke one of the ceramic holders.

They work great but don’t last very long. They disintegrated after a couple of weeks. Have gone thru 3 pairs already! Just enough light. Wish they lasted longer

They were easy to put into my gas light that's outside my house. They lit easily and have lasted longer than previous mantels I've purchased. Good product, I'll be using this brand from now on. If our light goes out the hoa fines us so it's important for reliable mantels thay will last a while. Very happy.

I tried these soft versions in my outdoor gas light. They work fine and are fairly easy to get installed. That said, American Mantle sells a preformed version and that is what I would recommend for folks that don't have a compelling reason/preference for these soft versions.In my case, the soft versions did not hold up very well and I had to replace them pretty quickly. After the second round of short lifespan, I tried the preformed versions. The cost twice as much, but the set I installed has already outlasted the two soft sets I installed. The preformed versions look better than the soft versions, as well.Recap: these are fine, but I think the better looking, longer lasting preformed version is the better purchaseversion version I installed. For me, in the long run it is worth paying twice the price for the preformed versions. Check to make sure you get your quantity right- the preformed mantle's I bought come 1 to a pack, while the soft versions were 2-packs.

I have purchased this brand in the past at local hardware stores. it works very well in my gas lamp post. Purchasing a couple of sets keeps me ready when one goes out. this is a better price than I typically get from the local hardware store.
