It's not fully carpeted. The bottom of mine is rough, and seal is peeling. Not excited to store records in something that itself generates dust/dirt/rubber particles.The lock mechanic fell apart as I took it out of the box. I had to take it apart and re-sit and secure parts of the lock.Really disappointed in this, especially compared to similar products I've purchased in the past.

As my record collection grows, so does my storage requirement. This is my third order for this unit. It works well for me. Less one star for small dimple like compression in carpet in top of the lid.m

This case is perfect for what I needed. The size, the capacity, everything was on par for my needs. The carrying handles specifically are designed so that the cases can be stacked on each other if needed which is ideal for storage purposes.

When I purchased this I actually had rather low expectations, but it far exceeded those expectations. This case is probability best suited for home storage use, which is what I use it for - to keep small, curious hands out of my modest vinyl collection. Hardware is adequate but may not hold up well for transport or mobile DJ use since it is fairly light duty, but fine for my use. Take apart hinges are a nice touch. The front latch is a little flimsy, but fine to lock with a small padlock and keep the curious out. Box is well constructed and the carpet is nicley applied and of good quality. Overall, a good value for the modest cost and serves its purpose well. If I need to expand my storage capacity in the future, I would buy another without hesitation.
