A-S has had a bad reputation for the last 70 or 80 years. I started out with a toilet from my supply house. The customer did not want a 1.28 tank. No 1.6 gal tanks were in stock. I ordered a tank from Amazon and it did not fit the bowl I had. I returned the tank and bowl I had gotten from my supplier and ordered a bowl from Amazon. After installing the Amazon outfit I am trying to correct the second leak on the tank. American Standard is the standard for chineseium crap.

This toilet is the worst failing product ever. I have 4 In my house. all 4 top tanks cracked within 2 years. Since then 3 out of 4 have developed leaks. Terrible flopper design

We bought this tank to replace our cracked 4149A tank per another user’s recommendation. It fit perfectly!
