As many others have said the spout leaks where the screw for the Allen wrench is (steady stream) and out the back. I’ll be returning this and will give more information once I determine the problemEdit: changed to five stars problem solved.First make sure you sand cloth and ream the pipe before you do what I’m about to suggest. As embarrassing as it is to say the solution is simple..when you slide the faucet on you will feel it stop. This occurs about 1 inch in (which is the minimum length you need according to American standard) . However if you leave it here the faucet will leak. Push further than the initial stop and the leak will cease to happen. The first stop when you push is the pipe hitting the O-Ring inside. You need to push past this for the ring to properly seal. Cut more than one inch for the stub and slide it all the way and you’ll be fine.

I’m a first time DYIer and it’s all trial and error. Remove and research your existing spout first. This is a beautiful price but wrong fit and too long for my 1980’s plumbing

Just installed this today. Looks great and well made. This spout has some weight to it. Got this for my bathroom reno as I did not like the slip on spout that came with my water valve and shower kit. Was a bit pricey but you can easy tell it is a quality product. Only negative feedback I would say is that my spout did not come with an Allen key for the set screw to secure the spout. Don't know if one never came in the box or American Standard just does not supply one. It is odd because even cheap spouts I was looking at come with an Allen keys, but who knows? I have Allen key sets at home so for me it was not a big issue.

Excellent quality. Used during a minor bathroom refresh. Served the purpose and met my needs. Looks great and updated, and is seemingly of good quality.

Got it for my new house but it has given me many leak issues. When the stopper is up, the water gushes from the back. I had to return it... Do not recommend

I loved the look of this bath tub diverter spout, solid, simple and modern look. In appears it appears more solid, wider, generally bigger than appears in online photos. I was really disappointed that it didn't work with my plumbing. I wasn't aware it is designed for a slip on connection and had to return. The plumbing in my wall is a 1/2 inch male threaded connection. I would love to see this diverter spout available on Amazon with a female threaded connection, or available with an adapter.

This is a $78 item which looks fine, but it requires a specific tiny Allen wrench to install -- which they didn't bother to give me! Nor did they provide instructions to let me know what size I need. WTF
