They work fine, but the boy unsnapped them and still lost his gloves. If your kid will leave them alone, they have a really tight grip and should be great.

Having lost three gloves in the first three months of winter, I decided I needed mitten clips, which I remembered from my childhood. These work perfectly. The clips fastens onto your coat and gloves very securely. You won't lose a glove or a mitten as long as one end is fastened to your coat and one to the glove. Does it look weird? Oh yeah. I have people giving me a weird look when I walk into a store with my gloves dangling off my coat. But I don't care. At the end of winter, when you can't find gloves in the store and you lost yet another one, you'll wish you had purchased mitten clips. I got them for the color. I know if I have them attached to my coat.
