I purchased this no-name arrow and found it a bit brittle. The carbon fiber was not woven tight. I ordered SP-400 and put them on my spine tester. The reading was SP-600. I polyurethane the arrows. once dried and sealed, SP-500. First and last batch I'll purchase. I did not go into straightness.

Got the shafts in and after reading some of the reviews decided to coat the shafts. I sprayed several layers of clear coat enamel on them and buffed them with 0000 steel wool and now they look like my more expensive Gold Tip shafts but without the name on them. Hopefully they will perform the same.

Using 500 spine and 125gr field points they worked up to about 325gr total with 4in turkey feathers, 3-fletched, unweighted plastic nocks and aluminum point inserts. Pretty light, but for target practice with a lighter bow, they work just fine. However, they will split or shatter if you even graze an arrow with another (25lb recurve at 10 yds). Being raw carbon and unfinished might have a lot to do with it as they split on the grain of the carbon strands. That said, it may be an unrealistic expectation that they hold up under these conditions. They're certainly not as robust as aluminum. Going to try finishing them somehow to see if that makes enough of a difference.

I bought the 600 spine. They are only 5.5 gpi. Very thin, brittle and snap easy. I would not recommend them.

I just ordered a second batch. They are as good or better than the carbons I bought back in the 1990's for about $15 bucks each! Back then! I have made up a half dozen and working on the rest now, but the ones I already made shoot straight, fly perfectly and are 10 grains lighter than my old ones (1990's) from Easton. The grain pattern is exactly the same. If you're like me, not a competitor but just shoot for fun, these will do just fine for you. Just figure out what knocks, inserts and points will work and then cut to your length with a band saw or hack saw and glue it all up.

I've ordered these twice. It seems I got a good batch the first time; mostly straight arrow shafts. They made for good arrows. The second batch was not very good at all. A large majority of these second batch of shafts ordered were pretty badly warped.

For the price you pay, you’re getting a nice set of arrows that don’t have any branding on them. Not everyone wants this, but I do and it fits my purpose fine. Although I don’t like seeing the grain of the carbon on the shafts, it is unfortunately one of the downsides unless you get fibreglass arrows (which are smoother but break way easier).
