The space above my slide in range had at one time, a spice rack, and at another time, a piece of neat locally inspired craft (A crab), but my spices were always mostly in the pantry where I had to drag them out.The VERY high gauge stainless steel shelf, along with 6 27 lb magnetic hooks, helped organize my cooking wonderfully! Now, 90% of the spices are at hand, as I can double layer this shelf easily.I do recommend getting a higher strength wall anchor that the ones provided..

First - Ditch the crappy anchors that come with the product and use good ones. Once I replaced the anchors with sturdier ones (Nothing fancy - The type you can get right at home depot for next to nothing,) the shelves went up like a dream and hold all my many large glass jars of grains, beans, etc. It did take some Goo-Gone to get rid of the sticker residue, but that is not unexpected. I bought 4. The first one I put up, i used the anchors that came with the product, half of them came off in the wall, and as a result, it cannot take as much weight. But still looks great and holds my lighter things (Oils and seasonings.)

This is a great item. High quality, looks like a professional shelf you'd see in a restaurant kitchen. I'm using it in my garage above a stainless steel utility sink I bought at Costco. Easy to install, it's secured to the wall and as stable as a brick hospital.
