I purchased this item for my boss who is a Veterinarian. I was a little worried at first that it would not meet his expectations but to my surprise he was very happy with the purchase. He installed it the minute I brought it to work and said it was perfect, so no complaints and he's been using it for weeks now.

The price was okay and the lens works but there are a couple of visible dust particles trapped between the lenses. I almost sent it back but it did not affect the function of the lens so I kept it.

I purchased the objective to assist with soot analysis of very small particles. The images were clear. The only downside is that the objective is a bit shorter than my 40x so I had to adjust the focal distance. Very happy with the purchase

This objective is a stand alone to my other objectives that were standard on my scope and therefore is not parfocal like the other. However, I could care less. I love this objective over the plan 100 I also bought. I do more mind readjusting my view, because when I do I'm always happy with my view.

Excellent objective option!, that gives you a 20 times more magnification over the 40X regular objective of the microscope, with a very good Plan-Achromatic optical quality, without sacrify the image quality, and the need to use oil to improve the magnification of the images. A great intermediate dry option between the 40X and 100X (oil) objectives. At a great affordable price, what else can you ask?!!!... Recomended!!!
