I'm using this to close off the vent tube running from my fuel cell...which helps eliminate fumes collecting in my garage while the car is parked. For this purpose it's working great. I can only assume it would be just as effective as a liquid shutoff. I would buy again if I needed another.

Had limited space on my auxiliary fuel tank build. This is big,heavy, and needs more room than I could provide to turn the handle. For a trunk mount it would probably work. For a motorcycle, definitely not.
