I attempted a number of DIY add-on locks for my laptop, since it didn't come with one. Unfortunately the adhesives that they all come with cannot resist any reasonable effort to directly rip it off without any risk to damaging the screen.So I attempted to scrape off all the adhesive and use gorilla glue. But even this was not good enough. After waiting for it to cure for 24 hours, attaching it to a fresh cleaned area, I was still able to rip the lock off (again without bending or warping the screen itself) with pure physical force in a few seconds. So this would not stop any thief.I think this basic premise of this product itself is basically unworkable.

I use this to add anchor hole for desktop case using security combination cable. Some desktop cases may not come with hole for attaching security cable. This anchor plate has strong adhesive on the bottom for sticking to any flat surface. It is an option to use with computer laptop security cable on desktop metal case.

Nice thick metal, and large-area mounting. I especially liked that the adhesive pads were separate, because i want to use epoxy or cyanoacrylate on some of them.
