My daughter used these in her Greek presentation to give everyone a physical representation of what the coins were like. Her teacher asked if she could keep them to use with future classes.

The legendary winged horse Pegasus and the Goddess Athena is depicted in this replica of a 350 – 240 BC Ancient Greece coin. A real coin as depicted would be worth thousands of dollars in a numismatic market. One can easily tell its a replica simply by using a magnifying glass and see a greenish patina next to the engravings due to the copper content. The authentic coins are made of silver and do not present this. The coin is ideal for education purposes, my partner teaches history at school so it is a nice hands on experience for students to glimpse.

I got this replica Greek coin because it's fascinating to hold something that looks just like what was traded thousands of years ago. Comparing with pictures of the real coins, this is quite close, imperfections and all. Dimensions seem within range of actual coins.Measurements: 20mm diameter, 2.2mm thickness, 6.0g, non-ferrous metal.
