Ultra-flexible (Type 3) stranding helps prevent fatigue due to vibration and flexing. Ancor's proprietary premium vinyl insulation stays flexible even in extreme cold (-40° F/ -40° C) and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, and ultraviolet radiation. The wire's exclusive insulation is rated at 600 volts, 221° F / 105° C dry and 167° F / 75° C wet, and is engineered to withstand heat and abrasions. Exceeds all UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charter boat (CFR Title 46), and ABYC standards.

Using this wire to add a second power distribution block to my boat for a brand new JL Audio system I'm installing. I connected the wire to the main boat battery switch to prevent any parasitic draw when not in use. I'm going to be powering two amps, so I have two 80A marine breakers coming off the block that I'll wire the amps into. This is heavy duty stuff that I'm confident will hold up for many years. It's big wire but still very flexible and easy to manage.

Super flexible wire, great for easy runs and tight corners. Also the wire is tinned for corrosion resistance.

Rewiring the battery cables on my 20 year old boat. Ancor is the company I trust for marine grade high quality tinned copper wires. Made in the USA. Best price here on Amazon.

Since moving away from a place I could readily get Ancor wire, I’ve been getting by with what’s available locally.I’m running 100% solar, and it turns out I’m a power hog in summer. I doubled up local cables to ensure I could run 140A. Not super successful. Cables got warm to the touch when moving 100A in 28C ambient air temp, no direct sun on the wire.Rated 210A at 109C, swapped out to this wire and it’s now making electricity, not heat.Well worth taking the time to replace all the wire on the DC side of my system.

Works on the boat just fine. Better deal than in stores by a long shot.
