The product is actually very good and does what it should. As others have indicated, there are no instructions AND almost sent it back thinking it would not allow me to insert one of the included seals i needed. Thanks to "DOUG" (another reviewer), he correctly explained that there is a nearly invisible rubber seal that you must remove before you attempt to insert the seal of your choice. Otherwise the whole thing will not work. THANK YOU DOUG!!! You saved the day!

Worked out grate running a pair of 10AWG solar wires out of my RV compartment keeping them water tight and safe from nicking and cuts.

the 1/2 inch opening is too small for the cable connector end of my transducer. Do not buy if your trying to get it to work for lowrance 4 hdi and up. It also comes with no instructions on how to use it either

I ordered this to wire up my kayak fish finder. It provides great sealing from the water. The only problem is that I had to cut my wires to get it through the hole because the connector on the back of the Lowrance Elite 4 did not fit. However, splicing the wires back together was not a big deal and did not affect the signal.

I used this to solar panel route wires through the roof of my Casita Travel Trailer. It does a good job of forming a water tight seal around the wires. I two issues with it though:1) It isn't obvious that there is a seal washer already in the threaded body. When I first opened the package none of the included seals would fit. After several tries I decided to try and widen the opening inside the threaded body. When I did I discovered there was already a thin seal inserted in it! After it was removed it was easy to insert the one I wanted to use.2) There isn't a rubber grommet included in the kit to form a seal between the nut on the threaded body and the roof of my trailer. I had to pick one up at Home Depot before I could install it. I could have just gooped it up with silicone but I wanted a better mechanical seal in addition to the silicone on the threads.

I used a couple of these to run a cable through a couple of interior walls while installing a solar panel on my RV. Inexpensive, and when you twist them tightly closed they seal and really lock in place.

Perfect for a flat wire pass through on a travel trailer. Ran a 16ft LED light strip down the side of the travel trailer, under the awning. The 4 wire plug on this LED strip fit the rubber grommet perfectly for a water proof seal. Well made, and shipped quickly.

I needed this wire seal to mount my Lowrance Mark 4 fishfinder/gps to my kayak. The units transducer/power cable (without the cable's nut (not needed)) fit through this wire seal assembly. It was a tight fit but it works. It comes with different washer seals and I needed to use the gray one. Now my wires have a water tight seal keeping the inside of my kayak dry and my tranducer is mounted inside my hull. It was exactly what I needed.
