Experience, yes! These things are laughable. I followed directions, and have them hanging everywhere! And nothing! I feel so ashamed of myself for believing what they say these days WILL do. Our budget is tight and I can’t afford to waste money, but that’s exactly what I did on this purchase. NEVER AGAIN.

I like that the small bags fit in shoes and work well at freshening them up. For 12 bags there are only 6 hooks.I placed the large bags in a location where I had been using damp rid. Started with one bag and had to add three more and it seems to be working better than the damp rid.

My basement is partially completed and it’s also damp when it rains. The musty smell can be annoying and also exacerbate the asthma. After placing these orange charcoal bags everywhere.The mustiness is gone even on rainy days. They’re small enough so that it’s hidden and the bags are of good sturdy material. It worked within 48 hours- that’s pretty quick since I was expecting it to take a week to work. Not bad for the price. It costs more at Home Depot.
