I had to install multiple rubber washers to tighten it to the truck where the light wouldn't spin or bobble around. It also wouldn't screw into the flagpole truck that came with my 25' pole. So the fact they claim it's universal doesn't float. The ball itself looks great and appears to be nicely made. I don't know about the sturdy and durable parts as I just installed it.

Purchased this for one of my 2 flag poles and the thread on it does not fit either. Do not know what thread it is or in fact what thread I need I did assume it would fit. This is probs why it is the cheapest out there - be aware.

Although I gave this product 3 stars I can see why it's returned quite often also. People need to realize that your flag pole has to have something for this to screw into. I made my pole out of fencing pipe so I had to fabricate something for this to screw into. So you might have to be creative if you buy this. It looks good in the sun...
