I've been researching camera systems for a while now. Some have great cameras but you need to buy the other parts separately. Some control systems are nice that I found but you have to buy the cameras separately. With this system everything you need is in the box. The base unit has the software, hard drive, and PoE switch. The cameras work very well, day or night. Setup was a breeze (well for me, someone else had to crawl around in the attic to run the ethernet cables - which are included).The USB ports allow you to attach a keyboard and mouse (mouse included, you don't really need the keyboard but it's easier for me). There is an HDMI port - cable included!I like that the software allows you to zoom the cameras. You can also do an 'instant' replay, or you can rewind a camera back to a date/time. There is a remote control app for your smartphone so you can view when away from home.Is this a 'perfect' system? Well for me it is. Others may have different needs, but I am extremely satisfied with this system.

Having difficulty getting all my cameras to work properly, I contacted the ANNKE technical support. The support was requested through email. I was contacted within 4hrs by technical support with a case number. I contacted them the next day via the chat feature on their site and was promptly greeted by a support technician(Tim). Within 30 minutes he had assessed the issues with my system and had my cameras online. He also determined that 2 of my cameras were defective and promptly ordered replacements.While I am still awaiting the replacement cameras and am having some challenges fine tuning the sensitivity of the two cameras I do have installed (too many false alarms) I remain satisfied with the ANNKE system. My experience with their technical support has been positive to date.after sales help from Hugo was excellent

This is a good NVR system, after upgrading the firmware. I've had this system for almost a year. With the original firmware the system was really slow, and you could only view the video with the old Internet Explorer web browser, or their mobile app. The system would also continuously log me out. I emailed support and got a new firmware. The system is a little faster, it doesn't log me out, and you can now view the video using Chrome plugin. The mobile app is decent, but not the greatest interface. With 2TB HDD, 2 cameras recording continuously @ 8K kept about 4 months footage. 4 cameras is about 2 months. The picture quality with a 4K monitor is very good. Motion detection sensitivity set @40 will pick up a bird in my yard, without too many false positives. You can also mask the areas you are concerned about to reduce unwanted alerts.

After reading reviews and racking my brain for which system to buy I picked this one with a USA phone # for tech support if needed.Running cables is always a hassle. Pick an interior wall for cables to run down to dvr if you can. Drill a 1-1/2 hole if you can in the top plate and fish wires with a fish tape. I could not as my tv and system is on exterior wall. I used 1” conduit through my soffit and exterior of my house and through the wall behind my entertainment center.1st day up and running and all is good. Set up on iPhone with no problem with app.Only thing I don’t like is it seems the camera view could be a little wider, not sure what degree they r but I’m still satisfied with the system.Locate near your WiFi so you can hook into your network. Appears to me you can hook up to 8 cameras to the system.I haven’t tried playback or searched for specific time but seems like it will be easy. Scrolling around with the mouse is just like using your computer. Software is user friendly.Check YouTube for video setup although I didn’t need to because pretty straight forward for diy and this is my second system install.I give a five star for price and overall functionality and ease of use. Looks great on my 70 inch tv.

Great camera system for the price! I added two additional sony cameras with no problems, just ran the wiring and hooked them up. The remote viewing app works alright, though sometimes you have to keep clicking on the camera because the connection times out. Retrieving video from the DVR is pretty simple and setting up the internet and various other settings was fairly simple.

Im a non techie, not an idiot, but not a computer savy person. I found this set difficult to program. Cameras work but i dont believe they are recording. The next camera will be wireless, like a arlo or something along those lines just for simplicity. These I had to crawl in the attic and run the wires, then hook it all up. Doesnt really work with my android smart phone. Instructions not that clear. All day job and still not right. Probably operator error on my part.
