Since the door lock is hidden, I wanted an option to be able to still get in. This works great and is innocuous enough next to my doorbell that nobody looks at it.

When you pair the keypad with the lock it allows you to turn off the beeping on the lock but not the keypad. The beeping is very load and echoes down my apartment hallway. I do feel someone will complain about the beeping as it has to be a 6 digit code every button beeps and then a bigger beep once it unlocks the door. Really love the way this product works just wish they would have allowed you to shut the sound off on the keypad.

I just received both the Holo lock and keypad from Anona Security. My initial impression is that the company made a great product on their first release to market. The packaging was premium and in my opinion looked as good as those from the large market leaders like Google and Apple. The lock itself feels premium being made of metal with an ingenious front cover plate that fixes to the body with very strong magnets. The install was straightforward and would have taken only 5 minutes or so IF I had actually followed the install instructions. The keypad seems solid too although it is all plastic. Even so, the buttons feel responsive and the backlight is handy. I do wish the keypad had the standard layout of 4 rows of 3 buttons that everyone is used to on their phones instead of 3 rows of 4 like Anona Security decided to go with. It just feels very awkward especially if your lock code has a 9 or 0 in it. The Anona Security application for Android is well laid out with most features you’ll find in significantly more expensive locks. I do hope Google Home support gets added soon. I also think adding an auto unlock feature like the August lock has had for quite a while will be a feature many customers will like. All in all, I am very pleased with this lock and keypad and look forward to firmware updates that add more useful features.

I live in a rental apartment, so I can't change the lock, but I found an amazing device that lets me use a smart lock without altering the key. It's been a game-changer!

Updated - 02-2025Avoid at all costs, this thing is made terribly. Half the buttons have died on the key pad and the things chews through batteries just like the lock. I have literally used this key pad twice in 2 months and I've had to replace the batteries 3 times in it since I got it in October..-Original post-Device is easy to setup recognized quickly in the app and very simple to use. Only complaint is it's designed 3 rows of 4 keys instead of 4 rows of 3 and numbers don't align to what most people expect from a standard 10 key design. It's not a deal breaker you just have to pay attention vs rely on muscle memory.

Lights work well, communicates with lock very fast compared to my other similar lock.
