How to safely seperate this magnetic hooks:
1. Slide one magnet off the top of the stack.
2. Once off the stack,carefully start lifting the magnet.
3. Lift the magnet to free it from the stack.
Some factors will reduce your pull force:
1.When applied horizontally, the pull force is usually 2/3 weaker.
2. When absorption surface is not magnetic permeable material or polished, like stainless steel or Wooden.
3.When the thickness of the attached matter is less than 10mm.
4.When using the scratch-resistant pads we support for protecting the surface of the refrigerator.

These did slide just a little with a lightweight jacket. Used them on our recent cruise in Alaska to hold our wet coats after getting some rain. Jackets were slightly heavier than a windbreaker and although the magnet did slide a little they still stayed on the wall and held the coats up. I had placed them as high on the cabin wall as I could reach and they slid down about 3 inches when I put the coats on them, but then that was all. They held the coats for two days (that's all the rain we had). I was glad a friend to me to purchase these to take along. Even though we didn't use them much, they were worth the purchase for us.

I saw magnets like this as a suggestion for people taking a cruise. This brand was wonderful! They stuck to the metal walls of the ship and did not come off. They would slide down if I attempted to put something too heavy on them. They are made to hold the maximum weight when hanging from the top down, but did well from a vertical position. They held various objects from our jackets, purses, sweaters, scarfs and lighter weight backpacks. I also like that they are hinged/swivel so it was easy to put things on and off. I bought two sets and no issues with either batch. I would highly recommend as a good solid hook magnet.

I put these on my refrigerator to hold my potholders. They stick firmly to the fridge and don’t slide like my old hooks did. They look good and work well for my intended purpose.

Bought these for my second cruise on Celebrity; the cabin ceilings are metal and are the BEST at adding additional room to dry bathing suits, hang purses/backpacks (seriously, this hook holds a moderately heavy backpack from the ceiling!), and in my case, it was the hanger for my cumbersome full back brace so floor space was open. You shove your suitcases under the bed and your cabin is suddenly larger feeling again with so much floor space. Made a big difference in accessibility of items without feeling like the walls are closing in on you.We used 3 of the 4 magnets and gave a family member the 4th one to use. DO NOT expect it to attach to the wall. Ceiling attachment works best and it’s not too difficult to reach the ceiling in most cruise cabins.At home, if you have a lot of metal furniture it may be a useful tool. I have a hard time finding places that support magnets at home- even my refrigerator isn’t compatible! Who DOES that!?Hope this helps future cruisers. It’s worth every penny spent on these magnets if you remember to use them.
