I'm so glad we got this violin. It has a beautiful tone! It came in perfect condition - we can't find any defects. The case and accessories are beautiful! The shoulder rest wasn't in the box, but we called the phone number they provided in the case and they immediately agreed to make it right and a new shoulder rest is on it's way to us with zero hassle. Excellent customer service. We're very happy with this purchase!

This violin is worth more than what you'd be spending on it. Even though this is on clearance due to small blemishes, they're exactly that, small.The case it comes in is surprisingly hefty and sturdy. I was thinking it was going to be a typical soft violin case, but it's not, everything about it is very nice quality.The violin itself had very small blemishes that I had to look for to even find. Mine came with a small chip on the base of the fingerboard and a microscopic chip in the varnish. They don't affect the sound, and I feel like they give my violin more character. As is standard, the sound will open up more as you play it, but off the bat, it's nice and develops into a beautiful tone.The varnish on the violin is beautiful and has an almost luminous quality. I don't think my pictures picked it up well, but it's so pretty.The bow was a standard bow for the cost, but still performs nicely.Some things to look out for, my set didn't come with the beginner book. I'm not a beginner, so this didn't hinder me at all, but it is advertised with the set. I'm not upset about it, but it's something for prospective buyers to keep in mind.Also, this doesn't come with a shoulder rest. It's not advertised as coming with one, but for anyone who doesn't have one and is looking at buying this, it's something to keep in mind.Overall, this violin is beautiful, sounds beautiful, and is worth more than what you'd be buying it for.Goodluck in your musical endeavors.
