Triggered by a smart plug with the voltage then reduced by a 120v AC to 12v DC adapter plugged into the smart plug, this device then pushes the button on the remote for the remote starter on my vehicle - this solenoid works VERY well for that purpose. When activated, this solenoid makes enough force for that or similar purposes.

The device works well and appears to be as well built as you would expect. The problem is that it doesn't pull 45N, it pulls harder the further it retracts in it's stroke but initial pull strength might not even be 10N and full stroke pull is less than 20. Not recommended if you need to pull something with 45N but if you need to pull something very light this solenoid should do the trick. Functioned well just very weak.

Large plunger with spring actually pulls in when energized. You need to use the small end of the shaft for a pushing motion.

States in the description 3mm screw hole. These threaded holes are for 4mm screws, I found out the hard way. 3mm screws fall right into the hole. I bought 4 mm screws and they fit perfectly. Other than that the solenoid has a lot of kick with a 12 volt car battery, perfect for me. Only meant for power for approx. 2 seconds, not for constant energizing.

Nice powerful kick when allowed to draw 2.5A. Be sure to check the physical dimensions as this solenoid is considerably larger than the ones designed to draw 1A or less.
