Does block out background noise however not good with horizontal mics that are xlr. The cord doesn't fit and squishes against the foam causing your mic to face higher instead of at your mouth. You can work around it with an arm stand. I wouldn't rely on it holding heavier mics. Set up was very easy

I have a folding screen sound shield behind me and this is in front of me. As a professional voice over who wanted a temporary VO studio, this really did the trick! I'm impressed. I'm able to filter out any background noises, between this and a good room check. Absolutely fabulous. And when I don't need it, I can stash it in a closet. Easy Peasy!

This product is not useful. If you have something like a yeti microphone and a spring arm stand as it is very hard to attach and very heavy it will weigh down your mic and cause the spring arm stand to not hold it in the position that you need it also only gives you about a half an inch behind the microphone to adjust any settings that are on a USB microphone. I don’t recommend this product, go find something better

I have to say that I was ready to be disappointed in this shield. For such a cheap price, would it really be able to do the job. Well, while it may not be perfect, it does do a pretty good job. Don’t expect it to absorb all the noise or completely isolate your audio; nothing can do that but a full isolation booth. But what it can do is reduce the amount of subtle reverb that can make your recording sound tinny and slightly echo-y. It helped reduce the audio bounce off the wall in front of me and that made a huge difference with the final recording. So, while it’s not a perfect or complete solution, it does pretty well for the money.

Reflection filter itself is not the sturdiest but does the job i need it for, can’t go wrong for the price compared to other options out there however for more professional use I would recommend spending a bit more on something of a little higher quality. Done a decent job at stopping reflections making my vocals sound cleaner. delivery was 10/10 super quick arrived before estimated date and gave me a specific time band for the delivery. The shield went together pretty simply was a little awkward at times but not too much trouble.the box when arrived was slightly damaged as it only came in a cardboard/paper back as opposed to be more studier box but this fortunately hasn’t effected the item. Overall good item.
