Not 28" This strap's total length is 27" I needed the 28" setting, so that the loop would hang down enough so that I could catch it with the awning roller. I have a 27" strap already, and wanted this so that the 1" would hang down, and not be hidden under the awning roller. I measured, and this only goes to 27", it is equal to my other manufactures strap, and looking at a tape measure it is 27" Lastly the little 'rod' that is at the end to hold it into the roller, is just slid in, and I'm afraid it could slide out when trying to install. See Picture. With that said I ended up using the strap on another RV and it worked well.

Due to excessive sun exposure, my morning, Pool was on the verge of dry rot. I ordered this and it was perfect.
