First laminator I've ever bought and it's mint! Works amazingly, not complicated and comes with heat pack sheets! 10/10 would a solution buy again for someone

Easy to use, no issues. Some reviews mention an odour, did on initial use but nothing significant after that. Would recommend-great value. Gets the job done!

We already have a couple of miles on ours and it is working without a snag. Money well spent.

Update 2/27/2019 - This is NOT the laminator to buy if you need to laminate card stock and thick papers. It does not seal tight to the edge of the paper if using 5-mil pouches. 3-mil pouches do a passable job w/ card stock.The company does try REALLY hard. My original rating was 3-stars. I stand by that for functionality but for sheer effort of will in follow-up and warranty service, I'm awarding them 2 more stars.They sent me an updated version of this unit to try. It has the same problem as the first (not sealing the edges close enough around card stock when using 5 mil pouches). When that didn't work, they partially refunded my purchase to account for the failure.- - -I bought this to use with 5 mil pouches. I have been very disappointed in the performance with 5 mil pouches. The edges around the paper do not seal to the paper. There's a 1mm or larger gap between where the lamination fused and the edge of the page. Happens with both 20lb copier printer and with 110lb card stock - so clearly it's not a paper thickness issue. I've also noticed the back of the page often doesn't seal to the paper, even if you run it through the machine multiple times. Using the 3 mil pouches that came in the box, it works fine. Seems the problem is the unit doesn't get hot enough to effectively seal 5 mil pouches. Previously, I was using a Scotch brand thermal laminator with 5 mil pouches and did not have this issue. I upgraded to this model so I could do 11x17 pages. Not impressed. Pics show where it doesn't seal 5 mil pouches to the paper and leaves an unsealed edge around the edge of the paper. This does NOT happen with the Scotch laminator I had been using and these are Scotch brand 5 mil pouches (ASIN B00MFTLNU0) that it's not sealing correctly.

For the price this was a good laminator. I am an art teacher so I am using it to laminate projects. When I tried to laminate a collage I had to send it through twice to get a decent seal. But when I used it to laminate some small posters for my room so that I could use white board marker on them it worked great. I am also rating this only 3 stars because I don't see how it can be a "cold" laminator. The directions don't even seem to talk about using it as a cold laminator. Weird.I would buy this again for simple laminating, but it's only okay for an art room.UPDATE: After my review the company contacted me offering to replace this unit with a better model to meet my needs. This was totally unnecessary and unexpected, but I really appreciate that kind of costumer service. I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 5 mainly because of the customer service. This laminator is a perfectly good, small-job, laminator and worth the price. Be advised it does not do cold-laminating if that matters to you.

Nice cost effective . Heat up very quick and working good

The original machine I got must have been defective. It broke during my second use. I was outside the return window and left a review here...which the company saw. They sent me a replacement!!!This new one has been on for two hours, I have laminate at least 50 pages, and so far it's great!!! Hot enough to seal the first time through, love that it's wide so I can laminate file folders or scrapbook paper.I was shocked that they sent me a replacement. I can tell already that this one will be great. The last one must have just been a fluke.Side note...I only purchase the apache laminating pouches now. They work just as well as the expensive brands for a fraction of the cost!

I have owned several Apache Laminators and stay with the brand because it is a small / compact / clean / attractive unit. It is reasonably priced and simple to operate. On/Off that's it. But even greater than the product itself, is its Customer Service; they are truly worth its weight in GOLD. Because I do an excessive amount of Laminating I didn't realize that I should have taken greater care to allow the unit to rest between large volumes and multiple projects. And when my unit jammed and I could not reach the Apache Customer Services I regretfully left a negative comment and review. I ultimately discovered when they got back to me, that the "Call Center" is in Puerto Rico and the reason they hadn't responded in what I felt was a timely manner is because Puerto Rico is suffering the devastation from the aftermath of hurricane "Marie" and many parts of Puerto Rico are still without electricity nor have its internet restored.However, because the orders are placed through Amazon which is not effected, and are also shipped from an Amazon Shipment Centers in the United States and eliminates any cause for concern concerning shipments. The only area that is effected by Hurricane Maria, is the "Call Center" which makes it appear that SPN Performance are being unresponsive, when the fact is they are not; which compelled me to set the record straight. Therefore, when I was finally able to reach Customer Service, even though it was my "over use" of a unit that was not designed for professional use, and Customer Service was very accommodating in this instance.Therefore, to show my appreciation, I manage an online website that can be translated into 64 languages and is viewed locally, nationally and globally, and has received more than a million hits. Consequently, to show my appreciation in the only way that I knew to to try and helpSPN Performance to recoup some of the business that they may have lost through no fault of their own, I have placed SPN Performance on Line No.52, which displays all of the items in their online Amazon store.It is my hope that by placing SPN Performance on my website, that it will help them to pick-up some of the loss that they may have incurred from the circumstances of Hurricane Maria, which was totally outside of and beyond their control, and will hopefully provide an additional vehicle to acquire new business to compensate for any business lost and/or that they may loose as a result of the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.But I can truly attest that SPN Performance does everything with its power to maintain great ethics and the highest level of integrity in the performance of their operations. But, if you are unable to reach them that is the reason, and trust that they will make you whole. But, as I stated I discovered in this instance compensated me although "we" were able to determined that I was using the machine for hours, and hours on end and had exceeded the functionality of a home unit; when I should have been using a professional model. The fault was minewithout realizing that I was over using the unit beyond its maximum capability and will suggest if possible SPN Performance may consider advertising the Apache professional Laminator on the same page.Sincerely,EPJ
