They were comfortable , and study , kids used them in snow and hiking for three days and still look new , easy to clean

I purchased these shoes for my 8 year son and his first wearing was Dec 24th. He wore the product couple of times and on Feb 17, 2023 the sole came apart from the shoe.

The 3.5 was a bit large for my son who is between a 3.5 and a 4. So for us it worked out pretty well. These shoes seem to be well made, and are able to hold up to my son using them in the yard so far. We have a lot of outside chores and these are great for him to use outdoors. They are not waterproof, not even a little so be sure to keep that in mind. Overall I like that they are easy for him to take off and put on. The fleece lining made him think he didn’t need socks though, so be sure to let your little one know they still need socks.

I am so impressed with the Apakowa Kids Boys Outdoor Ankle Hiking Boots. I have bought Apakowa beach sandals for my son for years and we love them. The hiking boots do not disappoint. They are very stylish. I LOVE that there is a zipper on the side as well as laces in the front. The boot and the sole are sturdy. My five year old said that they are comfortable (and he is very picky). It hasn't snowed near me yet this year but my son has worn these in cold weather and one day when it was rainy. These are not waterproof but they did protect his feet better than regular sneakers. I definitely recommend.

Got them for my daughter and they run about a size too big. Overall they kinda feel cheap too and aren't very come she said after trying to wear them on a short hike. I would stay away from these tbh...

I fell in love with the look of these as soon as I saw them online, and they look just as sharp in real life (camel looks just like adult work boots, just too darned cute on a little kid)! My 3 year old was so excited to get "big boots like daddy," that we had to put them on and go outside immediately. I had sized up because winter is still a couple of months away, and my kid goes through a shoe size every couple of months. So, I thought these might be too loose and wiggly, and just braced for him to faceplant on our uneven rock walkway. But, he actually fell a lot less than he usually does in sneakers and crocs that fit him!I think the ankle support in these boots is awesome, and gives little kids the extra stability they need as they learn how all their dash-and-go body parts work together effectively. We live on a very rocky hill, no grass, lots of bumpy and rough tree-rooted ground, and my kid's legs have so many little bruises that it looks like he's taken up shin-kicking as a hobby. He falls nonstop, so much so that I don't even look up from gardening unless he starts bawling. But, with these boots on, he only fell once or twice--first, the support of the boot, but he also had to slow down a little in these because the soles are harder and he has to be more aware of the terrain/how close it is to the bottom of his shoe.These are also comfortable and well-designed--fleecy lined on the inside, and the top part of the boot doesn't rub in any weird ways. Love that these have a side zipper, and we were able to slip it on easily, and tighten the shoestring with a quick tug and slide. The shoelaces are reflective material woven together, feels a little rough in the hand, but looks so cool and makes it easy to track him when we're all playing in the yard after dark (rural area, we can see by the moon most nights, but his young eyes see better than mine and he's hard to spot sometimes!). These look like more expensive brand boots, don't look cheap because of the details. Even after a few very rough wears, these wiped clean and look great. I don't know if they are supposed to be waterproof, but my kid has played in some puddles/at the water table wearing them, and his socks weren't wet inside, so they are at least extremely water-resistant. I think they'll hold up until he sizes out of them and still be in great shape to donate (99% of shoes are wrecked when my kid is done with them, so that says a lot). Very pleased with the quality and the price, excellent value for a very solid kids' shoe.

My child is six and has been wearing the boys' high-ankle boots for several weeks. The shoes are warm and sturdy. He likes that the boots/shoes are tight and do not fall off when he runs. At first, they were a little heavy and he was not used to walking with a heavier shoe/boot. The aspect of the boots that I do not like as much is that the tongue is harder for him to tuck inside the boot and sticks out. This does not look and nice but I am able to fix this for him. He has not had issues with the shoe or boot falling apart which he often does after a short time. I do think the boots are worth considering.
