Covering this gap prevents an operator’s gloves or hair entrapment during fastening operations. Use of the free-spinning u-GUARD Socket Gap Covers can further enhance plant and operator safety by helping minimize fastening tool related injuries on the assembly line.

Very disappointed with this product. Firstly it took forever to arrive. It does what I needed it to do but it is not well made. The shaft is off centre so it wobbles as it turns. Also after using it a couple of times I am finding that the bits are now getting stuck in it. If it wasn't that it was shipped from America I would have returned it.

I love the idea of this tool, unfortunately the quality is very poor. Upon opening the package, I put a brand new bit in the tool. The bit immediately got stuck, I then damaged the tool trying to get it out.

I have the full set in my bag... 1/2, 3/8, 1/4 sockets and 1/4 hex. Small and easy to carry, while providing extra protection. I even use them on my insulted drivers/extensions to provide double insulation. Helps prevent arcing in tight panels/boxes. With electricity, you need to be careful and never just rely on the tool for protection.

Muy buen producto, bien hecho, resistente es impact grade entonces lo puedes usar sin miedo, lo uso en un desarmador manual para reapretar conexiones eléctricas con puntas especiales y sin ningún problema funciona.

If use another type of bit you can't get it out. And then the tool is no longer any good. They need to find a better way to get the other bits to remove out of the device.

This pretty much turns an electric screwdriver into an insulated electric screwdriver. That's a handy thing to save repetitive motion strain if you're working around energized electrical equipment. Some have pointed out that the bits are held in pretty tightly at the end. That's a good thing! The last thing you want in a live panel is to have a bit fall out. They're easy enough to remove with your fingers if they're dry, or if not you can pull them out with pliers.I'm going to buy some of these for gifts...

My day to day job is working on a Chevron oil field lease as a maintenance Journeyman Electrician. I normally use a 1/4 impact shank with a 5/16 end to replace starters and other parts from live panels. Unfortunately that tool isn't insulated but this bad boy gives me that piece of mind with protection of electric shock when I'm in that panel everyday.

It does stuff but way overpriced. Check your local shops before buying online.

I sometimes dig around electrical panels for work, installing and removing the occasional 30-amp breaker and screwing in a loose ground wire. This always makes me nervous, so I feel much safer using insulated screwdrivers and bits. The last thing I want is to sneeze and shove my screwdriver in the wrong place and burn a hole through my hand or worse. In spite of this danger, I also hate carrying around purpose built screwdrivers because of the extra space and weight they take up. So this little adapter solves that problem completely. My only complaint is that there’s a bit of slop in the bit holder resulting in a fair bit of play at the end of the bit. Electrical work is delicate work so it’d be nice if the tolerances were a little tighter.I would recommend this to anyone
