I bought this when I became aware that silicon greases could degas and also migrate from the application site. This Apeizon L grease allowed me to get a better vacuum while my Agilent 5971 GC-MS tune vial is open. I understand from the mfr that this grease is also a getter for volatiles in the vacuum chamber. So, I applied it also to top gasket and other port gaskets.
