it’s worked for me. just a straight bolt-on. doesn’t improve performance, but is certainly better than a malfunctioning one. fits 2002 r53

I wasn’t happy with the immediate performance results. It seemed not to sync well with the accelerator. I returned and purchased an original equipment brand at 3 times the cost. I was happy with the OE brand.

Looks like good quality, it fit really well! Came with gaskets. However there was a hair crack on the plastic the covers the chip. Once’s installed my car was acting crazy! Like I said I know other had a great experience with this unit and this one must it been defective

This throttle bottle looked the same as my original equipment and the bolt holes lined up perfectly for easy installation.

I started getting a litany of throttle-related trouble codes about a month or so after I installed this unit. It finally gave up entirely, leaving me stranded far from home with a $600 tow bill. All possible resets and throttle calibrations would not get the car out of "limp mode". I replaced it with an OEM unit, which instantly resolved the issues (no other changes made). I like trying out cheap parts alternatives from Amazon, and have had good luck with most of them, but this is one I would not recommend based on my personal experience.

I bought this to replace my throttle body on my 2002 R53S Mini Cooper. It’s made in China and compared to the original made in Germany it’s close, but did not work. Look at the top view pic, the original made in Germany has letters VOC on top near the plug and at a different angle than the other made in China TB. The side view pic shows the stamping in the Original and this unit. Once Installed it through code 1229 right away, see pic.Sent back and got a more expensive one with better reviews and works perfect. Really check them out so you don't waste your time. I will review the other one I bought once a month has has gone by so search for other TB’s for R53 Mini Cooper or ask questions and i’ll reply through Amazon system.
