This came up at fitting my bmw 128, however during removal there was a sensor connected to the old radiator. I removed it, the new radiator did not have a spot where the sensor was to connect it to the radiator, so I pushed a couple of the fins out of the way so I could use zip ties to hold the sensor in place. All seemed gods for about a week after install, then an engine light came on, that sensor is an eac sensor, that is what the code is for. Apparently the sensor won’t work correctly if the radiator is not designed for it. Now I have to buy another radiator for another 100$ and it may have damaged the sensor which is also 155$. If they are going to have vehicles in your garage that determine what parts fit your car, they need to get it right. Guessing I can’t return this one since I altered the fins to allow the sensor to be zip tied on. Just very upsetting, not to mention a waste of time and money. Make sure you don’t have the same problem. If there are multiple parts that might fit, the garage should ask for more details before purchases are made.
