I've been trying to fix the noisy fan when I start my Explorer for the 1st time in the morning. But even on hot days, I still have the fan running full for the 1st minute or two no matter how I rev the engine. So I thought I would just buy another new cheaper one and try. Well, this one takes almost a mile around town with many rev's to calm down. Just not what I want. Not sure if I got a bad one, but this has been my experience each time I replace the clutch. I think I've replaced it 4 times now, the last one being a Motorcraft (from Amazon). I just don't want to pay 5x the price and be stuck with one from the dealer that does the same thing. I'm just going to live with it. The original one from new never did this. But it wore out. :(

The fan clutch roars loudly at low speeds. Had to order another one from another vendor.

Did not know it was from China. We'll see how long it lasts. It fit fine and is smaller than the original.

IN HOT WEATHER ABOVE 85 DEGREES ON EXPRESSWAY CLUTCH LOCKS UP OFF AND ON AND ROBS 30 PERCENT OF ENGINE POWER. I HAD TO EXIT AND GO ON BACK ROADS. DO NOT BUY. BOUGHT HAYDON MADE IN USA WORKS PERFECT.
