My old strut had failed and this one was a much cheaper and equally effective replacement for my 2011 S5 Audi. It's easy to remove the old and install the new one, just pay attention to the clip and you're good.

Great replacement. Fit my 2011 Audi A4 perfect. It is a bit stronger than the old one was, so it opens and closes a little bit harder, but still works fine. Great quality for the cost.

Install took maybe 5 mins. A pair of needle nose pliers worked better than flat-head screw driver to remove retaining clip and install on mounting ball. Exact OEM length replacement, and seems to be a very good replacement. Original OEM lasted 13 years (made in germany), but I would be happy to get 5 years out of this at this price.

The hood strut was easy to install and fits my Audi S4 perfectly. At a fifth of the cost of any OEM strut this was a no brainer. Just hoping that this replacement will be reliable and will last for a long time.
