I bought this in May of 2022 for a 2015 Transit van. Shipping was fast, everything bolted right in.However, now in August 2024, it’s bad. Started squealing and not blowing as hard at first, making a ticking sound occasionally and then NOTHING. Disappointed, but glad it worked good for a couple years. The original OEM motor lasted 7 years, guess I was expecting a little more from this one 😞

I just installed it in my 2019 Transit 250 (front, behind the glovebox). Works perfectly. This one (BK2Z19805B) is for the front. Don't make the mistake I made before this and get BK3Z19805B, which is for the back.

My 2017 Transit van had been burning up resistors, so I replaced the blower motor. I tested this new one by spinning it and did not notice any difference in the bearing resistance compared to the old one. I installed it anyway unsure if there's supposed to be some, and after 2 months my resistor has burnt out settings 1 and 2 again. I'd read other reviews of this motor being problematic, so I seem to be one of them

There’s really not much to say about the product. It’s a replacement for the OEM blower motor. There seems to be a bit more friction when I used my finger to spin it versus the OEM unit. Nevertheless, it is still a very decent product given the fact that it’s less than half the price of the OEM equivalent.Another thing I would like to point out is that the installation can be a bit tricky. You’ll have to remove a small piece of ductwork at the back of the footwell in order to expose the 3rd (and last) screws for the blower motor. Putting the ductwork back can be difficult since you’ll have to tug one end back into main duct where air is coming from. The connecting point is hidden from view so it’s a guessing game. The best way to make the connection is to drop the glovebox down to expose where the ducts connect and reach from the top with the right hand to guide it.The whole installation only involves talking a plastic panel off (held by two screws) to expose the blower motor (held by three screws) and the small ductwork. Unplug and replug the electrical connection. It took no more than 30 minutes to complete.

This is good for the front and the heater under the seat. The rear blower spins the opposite direction.I got this for the rear because somebody else said that it works. But you can tell right away that blows a different way and it doesn’t work. The part number for the rear one is BK3Z19805BI’m gonna keep it this one for the front as spare.
