The drive gear is slightly narrower than original. It works, but when longevity is an issue, obviously the more surface area that a steel gear can make contact with a nylon driver/sprocket, the better. Probably not a big deal for most who just want their window to work and it does that. Considering the cost savings, still a good deal.
