This fits - I paid $ to have mechanic install it - however the wiper moves in a strange manner now - also the sprayer - which this unit controls - now acts incredibly strange emptying all the fluid unless you push it back - and the blade stops in all different position.Do not buy this if you have a X5 E53 - it does not work as OEM - or even work quite honestly.I have not had time to write a review and will need to Pay someone again - to take it out - all in all I'll lose 300$ probably for buy-in g this

Bought a second one, because I thought first one was defective. Second one had same problems. Wiper blade arm connection does not line up to original location. This unit controls wiper washer sprayer. This is to be a momentary action. If you press control switch for sprayer it is a constant action and if you don't pull back on switch you will empty all of your washer fluid. Bad product and does not function as original BMW part.
