Currently I’m working on a 1981 F-150 Bullnose truck, and I can confirm that these replacement tailgate support cables also fit 1980, 81, and 82 year models as well as the other years in the description. These are nice heavy cables that have a thick coating and good strong ends that fit perfectly on to the truck and tailgate components. Most of the cables on my old trucks have the outer coating scraped off, and the inner steel cables are rusted and frayed, so having good replacement cables is a safety priority for me. $22 for the pair is pretty reasonable.
