Bought this to replace a Whale Tail brush I’ve had for a few years. This one was less expensive and made by a small business so I thought I would try it out. The bristles are not as sturdy and the tail is smaller which causes it not to push against the wall as good as my old one.

Super Soft Bristles - Not great for Preble Tech surface. Otherwise ok. Maybe ok for Vinyl Pools. Was not really 1 hand operation. Still pulled away from wall on return stroke.

Was going great on the first 10' feet of the pool wall until the screws stripped out, sunk to the bottom, the plastic retaining bracket popped off and sank to the bottom, and the grand finale--- the whale-tale looking thing also popped its own cherry and floated away like my dreams of becoming a rock star and never getting fat.I went on a Underwater Demolition Recovery Search and Rescue mission (Oh ya, I wanted to be a Navy SEAL too) I recovered the hardware and the various pieces. I put it all back together with JB Weld and AstroGlyde. We'll see if it makes it through the warranty window. Maybe I just got a bad unit? The original Whale Tail that this is modeled after- seems to have a more robust metal mount. However, the bristles are garbage that deteriorate quickly/ falling out of the brush head (Everyone says so) and the friggin' thing is approx. $15 more than this one. This one has sturdier/ thicker UV resistant black bristles. I don't know? Pick your poison... The applied hydrodynamics are super simple, yet ingenious at the same time. It really keeps the brush firmly pressure against your pool wall on its down stroke. It is a back saver and your arms won't get as tired trying to apply pressure while cleaning algae etc...
