These are decent test strips that offer a wide variety of tests for a beginner enthusiast. They work great in a pinch and for emergency testing. They compare relatively well to my master test kits results, so I would feel confident using these.

I have tried these strips over a few days while cycling a new aquarium, and it does seem to accurately show the results as they aren't always the same until your aquarium is stable. There are tons of strips, so I generally try two or three at a time to make sure results are consistent. As long as you keep them dry in the container, you shouldn't have any issues.

This set of 120 test strips is a must-have for any aquarium owner. It measures 9 crucial water elements, including pH, carbonate, alkalinity, total hardness, chlorine, copper, iron, nitrates, and nitrites. It’s perfect for maintaining a healthy tank, though it's important to note that it doesn’t test for ammonia which you should be testing for separately if you have an aquarium.Packaging: The packaging for these strips is very thoughtful. The container is compact and convenient, and the instructions along with the color scale are printed directly on the bottle, allowing me to discard the box without losing important information. The strips feature a long section for easy handling, and the color scale aligns well with the test indicators, making it straightforward to read the results.Usage: Using the strips is simple; just dip them completely into your water sample for 2-3 seconds and read the results within 15 seconds for all but the nitrate/nitrite which you read in 60 seconds. The instructions are printed next to the scale making it easy to remember which ones to read first. This is such an important detail since the most important factor for incorrect measurements is not following the instructions!Reading: The color scales for these test strips are honestly one of my favorite aspects. They feature vibrant colors that are easy to read in different lighting conditions. One of the most frustrating aspects of some other test strips is when it is difficult to differentiate between colors on the scale. The scales on this test strip all run a wide range of color hues or intensities, making it easy to identify which value it is measuring.Accuracy: I tested these strips against my API kit which measures pH, nitrates, and nitrites and found the results to be fairly consistent. I also tested my water before and after adding a water conditioner, and it did pick up on the change in chlorine. Overall, it’s a reliable and user-friendly kit for maintaining your aquarium.

The "VILLNO Aquarium Test Strips 9-in-1, 120 Strips Aquarium Water Testing Kit" are pretty good test strips.The test strips are quick and easy to use. Dip strip in aquarium for 2 seconds, take out and hold horizontal, read everything except for nitrate and nitrite at 15 seconds and read nitrate and nitrites after 60 seconds.I have a large planted aquarium and I keep a close on the water parameters in order to keep the fish and the aquascape both healthy. I go through a lot of test strips and it is nice to find a strip that tests so many different water parameters in one easy test.As far as I can tell the strips are pretty accurate. I have tested and compared them to another tried and true brand that I have used for years and the results are pretty much identical.Overall, good test strips, easy to use and easy to read.

These test strips are a great baseline and low precision way to stay on top of your tank's water parameters. I have the full API test kit with test tubes, droppers, etc. but I found that method a bit onerous after my new tank finished cycling. Once things are established, I found that most parameters (Ammonium and Nitrites) were stable enough that I really only needed precise measurements after water changes and the like.These test strips are basically perfect my use case. A quick dip in the tank and within 2 minutes I have an easy read of relevant parameters and can immediately tell if something's wrong and I need to verify with a proper solution based test kit. What I wouldn't do is depend on these strips for exact numbers because they can wildly differ based on your methodology, humidity, etc. In summary, accuracy is fine as an early indicator of wide swings precision isn't good so don't use these as your only measurement source.
