***Updated***: Finally was contacted by the manufacturer, who contacted the seller. Seller sent a new integrated circuit card and instructions on how to replace the "mother board'. Fairly easy. The motor works like it did when it arrived. Still a great motor for my larger than average boat.Original Review (Edited to remove not buying another of these motors): Fantastic fun the first two years on the boat. Mounted it on my heavy aluminum 1950 Cadillac 4 seat boat, and powered right along. Then the fully charged battery and fully charged remote stopped talking to each other, and the motor would not accept more than one command (start, but no turning, or turning, but no propeller spinning) I had difficulty contacting customer support.

I have had this trolling motor for the past couple of months and I have not had any issues with it. I was a little concerned when I realized that it was 27lbs, since I was using this on my kayak but it was no problem at all. The power it supplies is great but be careful if you are using this with a kayak. If you turn too fast while picking up speed, it could catch you by surprise and cause you to lose your balance. This is a huge step up from the Minnkota trolling motors.

I had read the previous reviews about the unit becoming totally disabled when the remote stopped working. I thought that may have been over stated but it was NOT. The same thing happened to me, and despite multiple remedies the remote still has not come back on line. This forced me to pay $120 for the foot pedal.I think the manufacturer should include the foot pedal as a back up to frequently defective remote. Many people in their reviews suggested buying a back up remote. This is an additional expense, plus it may happen again to the back up remote. It’s a shame that a very expensive trolling motor is rendered totally unusable (potentially leaving you stranded in the middle of the lake) due to a known issue with remote that has not been resolved. My advice is to look for another trolling motor elsewhere!

Right out of the box, the remote has intermittently malfunctioned. I thought I may have been just user error, however that wasn't the case. Had to repair the remote repeatedly. The 3rd use of the motor, after less than one hour total use, it left me stranded on the lake. I paid over $600 for this, and am 100% dissatisfied. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS

I took my Aquos Cayman T 12v 55lb motor out for its maiden voyage on a Sea Eagle 437ps inflatable. It had enough power to move around at kayaking speeds (my main interest) for wildlife photography but also full power was more than adequate to maneuver current under bridges. My initial trip was just under 2 hrs using a 100ah lifepo4 battery and had about 65% juice left (note: I stayed around 50% power most of the time with short bursts of full power).I’m happy with the power performance for meandering around photographing birds, etc. but the steering with the handheld bluetooth controller was a struggle with any wind. I was all over the map until I got used to managing the constant minor corrections needed. The Sea Eagle wants a beefier motor to be honest. My additional hack is adding a pole steering system for steering stability.I will repost that experience once that outing is done in couple of weeks.Bottom line: I like the motor and it’s easy to deploy but the steering on my inflatable is doable but difficult.

I purchased two of these to accommodate to see eagle pontoon Rafts that my wife and I purchased. Very well-built machines easy to set up and operate. They have plenty of torque and versatility for these 9 foot boats. The only thing that will have a learning curve is the sensitivity of the remote in steering. It is Some thing you want to be careful with as it will turn these boats on a dime. I would definitely buy them again
