The AST48R features two self-closing doors that remain open at 90 degrees for quick and simple loading of products. The foamed-in-place recessed door handles save additional space. Magnetic door gaskets are removable and replaceable without tools. Great customer service in locating our prep cooler after it was left unnoticed at courier location. Also, courier was prompt & courteous in getting delivered asap. Everyone involved in getting us our prep cooler was fantastic, Amazon as well. Also, the prep cooler works great!! Highly recommend!!

This piece of equipment is manufactured in China as are many other items used in commercial kitchens today. I was reluctant to purchase this prep box initially but then said what the heck, give it a try. So far it has maintained temperature, runs quietly and also has a digital temperature display. It came packed with 1/8 size plastic containers which do not fit very well between the metal supports. If you use metal pans they fit better than the plastic ones. Using the plastic containers we could not get the last two to fit into the support bars. This is an issue that the manufacturer should deal with. If the support bars were made just slightly narrower the problem would be solved. The unit has a very good appearance and comes with casters (You must install) that make moving the unit around very easy. I give it four stars because of the container and support bars issue.
