This shirt fits our son very well.Polyester has many advantages and disadvantages, and it is most widely used for active wear.PROS- Does not shrink as much- Quick drying- Inexpensive (Brand makes good value clothing)- Flexible and strong (does not need ironing)- Looks great (Logo is minimalist, which I highly prefer)- ComfortableCONS- Not as breathable as cotton- When wet, the shirt will stick to your bodyOverall, like any other 100% Polyester shirt, this is a great, active wear piece of clothing. It is comfortable, durable, and inexpensive.

This is very warm. But oh good the static from the dryer. Can use but it is a little bit annoying. Made in China.

This shirt is perfect for our Spring trip up north. It’s 100% Polyester which makes it easy to pack and ready to wear, wrinkle free when we get there. The shirt is very comfortable, stretches all over! Nice and warm with the insulating and wind resistant material. Has a type of wicking that pulls the moisture away from your body. The fit is snug, great for wearing under your clothes for the layered effect. My grandson loves the pockets! Fits true to size but my kids prefer loose shirts, so we sized up.

The fabric quality is excellent. The interior has a waffle-pattern fleece which is comfortable on the skin and warm. The exterior has a smooth, sheer feel which looks great.-Material is 95% polyester, 5% spandex which is ideal for outdoor and wet activities given the hydrophobic qualities.-The blue color is attractive and unisex.-Warmth level is appropriate for colder temps as the fabric is fairly thick. For temps in 50's, it could be worn by itself. For colder temps, it would work perfect as a base layer.-The integrated hand warmer pocket is well stitched and doesn't fall down below the waistline. Items can fall out easily though so you probably won't want to put valuables in there.-Medium size will fit around ages 10-12. There is a lot of stretch to accommodate different body sizes.

2022-04-18. I wanted to get as much experience with this top from the past winter season, hence my late review. I've purchased this brand before, in the form of a bib pant for my kids to use. No complaints came from the pant, so I decided to try their tops.First impressions: Upon receiving the Arctix Base Layer, I must admit, I was a bit disappointed. The top was rather thick for a base layer. It's a kids shirt, so it obviously wasn't for me, but base layer are typically thin so that you can layer up for the weather.Fit: The top fits much like a base layer should, and is form fitting.Construction: A duo textured, one piece polyester construction, the inside is fleece while the outside is more of a smooth waffle texture. This explains the thickness of the top.Functionality: Being a much thicker shirt, the fleece texture on the inside is very soft and comfortable. And the properties of fleece does keep you warm. The tight knit of the waffle on the outer layer does prove to be quite windproof as advertised. With 5% spandex, the shirt is very stretchy which allows for better contouring to various body shapes, while maximizing comfort. There is also a kangaroo pocket to keep your hands away from exposure to the temperatures. Constructed primarily of polyester, the shirt is quick drying and resists shrinking when washed (do keep in mind that polyester does not bode well with the fabric softeners and your dryer - not only will it deteriorate more quickly, it will also build up static!)Overall, I'm a little torn on how to rate this. On the one hand, the top if very comfortable and functional. Yet on the other hand, weighing in at 1lb, I personally wouldn't classify it as a base layer. It advertises that it's good for skiing and snowboarding, but 1 lb is a lot of weight to carry. Yet despite this weight, it's very effective at retaining heat and keeping you warm.In seeking feedback from the kids, they absolutely love this top. It's been used several times for snowboarding, sledding, and just playing in the snow. With any of these activities, layering was NOT required. Luckily, these tops are stylish enough that they also don't look like a base layer and can be worn as a top. The only complaint was that the kangaroo pocket does not have zipper, so it is not a secure storage place for valuables.Cons summary: Heavy at 1 lb. No zipper on kangaroo pocket to secure items. Pricey for one season.Lastly, I'd like to mention that this top is a bit pricey at $26.25 I had picked up their bib pant for only $24.30! Considering it's a kids size and the chances are they'd outgrow it after one season, the bib pants were priced right, and I would have liked this top a lot more if it were priced about $8-$10 less. Still I can't deny it's performance, and I would recommend it purely on this. 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 for the cons noted earlier.

I have ordered several items from Arctix and this is one of two that I received exactly what was pictured. The fleece is soft and warm and my son said he found it super soft and comfortable. In fact when I asked him to try it on to see how it fit, he actually refused to take it off on account of how much he liked the feeling of it. The fleece is medium to heavy weight and is quite warm.My skinny son is 10 and I ordered a medium which fit him nicely... with some room to spare around the body. Therefore I think this would even fit children children who lean towards normal to a tad husky.Review For:Arctix boys Dynamic Base Layer Top

This is a good quality base layer long sleeve shirt that is ideal for use as an undergarment for snow sports. It runs true to size and is made from good quality materials. It is also well constructed. However, the price seems a bit high to me. This top is priced similarly to some high-end brand name options for kids from companies like Patagonia, Smartwool, Under Armour, etc. If you are a good bargain shopper, you can sometimes find really nice brand name options for even less. Accordingly, at full price, this top isn't an incredible value. Don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible deal, but it's not a great deal either. If this top sold for closer to $15 I'd be more enthusiastic about recommending it as a good value off-brand option.
