Not necessarily the tools fault, but do know this won’t work for the 2017 Mercedes GLS series. The angle of the device isn’t enough - you’ll be better off carefully using pliers.

I bought to change spark plugs on 2008 Equinox 3.4L v-6. It appeared plugs had never been changed. I raised car up onto jack stands and removed plugs and wires from below. Plug wires were original. I used the straight pair of pliers, reaching as far down on Plug boot. Twisted boot back and forth. It took awhile, but got all 3 wires in back off. Regular pliers would never have done this. I wish I had bought these years ago. Would have saved many headaches changing plugs and wires on other cars I have worked on. A definite BUY. Be smart, buy these and save yourself BIG Headaches….

Worked great removing the plugs on my '13 Avalanche. I was warned the wires tend to get attached to the plugs - but with these pliers it was easy to get a great grip and pull away.
