Great buy! Good quality chaps, suede leather on the inside and soft leather on the outside. The chaps are soft. The only thing I don't like is that zipper is on the back. I wish it was on the outside my older Ariat half chaps.

I bought mine from Dover in 2021 when my tall boot zipper split and have used them exclusively for every ride since then. Between jumping, dressage, trail riding whatever they’ve held up amazing. That said, I’m very particular about keeping my boots clean and oiled as well as only wearing them for actual riding… no tacking up, mucking, walking on foot etc. 1. It will make them drop faster and look like loose elephant skin and who wants that look? 2. They will wear out MUCH faster.Now that my pair chaps are in its mid to end life stage after 4 years of almost daily riding, the gusset that lies over the zipper part of the paddock boot is starting to crack, the left zipper keeps falling even with clamping it down again with pliers (it helped for a couple months) and they’re starting to drop a bit too much for my personal taste. I got chicken legs enough, I don’t need sagging chaps highlighting them. I bought a new pair of Ariat chaps today for lessons and clinics and will probably keep using my concords for trails and hacking until they die. Keep a look on Ariat’s website, they do sales and close outs on retired styles. I got a pair of nitro tall boots for my chicken legs today for $200. Score.
