Step 1
First wipe the bowl clean. Use the bamboo scoop, take two or three scoops of matcha powder and place them into the bowl.
Step 2
Then pour the boiling water into the matcha bowl, mix the matcha powder and water with the whisk, and stir to create a fine and dense foam.
Step 3
Clean whisk and put it on the whisk holder to dry.
Step 4
Enjoy and taste the authentic matcha tea.

My son is big into Japanese culture and loves to entertain. This matcha set was perfect for him and a quiet evening at home or an evening spent with a friend. The set arrived well packaged and is of high quality. He's used it several times now and is very happy with this tea set. The packaging is of high presentation quality and ideal for gift giving.

The item arrived unbroken and in a timely manner. My only disappointment was the color..what I received is a beige and off-white set despite having ordered a different color scheme. Overall satisfied, but expect the possibility of the wrong color arriving. Quality wise, seems lovely and something that will last for many years. I would recommend.

I got this mostly for the whisk. The bowl and the whisk holder is great.So far I used this once. The whisk is able to make the matcha so much frothier than a fork. And the bowl shape works so well with the whisk. Everything looks nice and elegant too.Minus 1 star because it looks like the glaze looks poorly done just ended the spout.

The bamboo bristles from the whisk falling apart while mixing my powder in with the hot water to make my beverage . Now what to do with these bamboo bristles?? 😖

My 11 year old daughter uses this...and said that it was a great set of tools...and, to quote, was "very authentic".We've never been to Japan...yet...but she watches a lot of Japanese videos on YouTube...and, maybe not surprisingly, knows her stuff.The set is finished in a matte finish...and is beautiful.Tools included are of good quality....It's a small world...after all...and it's cool that she is learning about and appreciating other cultures.This would make a great gift!Very nice matcha set!

In person, this set is a deeper, almost navy blue. Lovely, well crafted, solidly made pottery. This came packed so carefully and securely. Every element in this set is so pretty and well crafted. Impressive, pure elegance in its beautiful simplicity. There is something very soothing in the ritual of preparing tea / matcha - having beautiful tools only enhances the enjoyment of the matcha / tea. If you enjoy this process and matcha, treat yourself to this lovely set. This would also make a beautifully presented and well crafted gift for someone special.

I love this!I've been wanting to try a matcha whisk for a long time. I kept talking myself out of it, saying "why spend the money on something that only has one purpose?" but let me tell you, it actually makes a big difference!I love tea, and I also love the art of tea. I have a full cabinet in my kitchen devoted to just the tea I own. I've tried several grades of matcha powder and could never get that tea shop taste. I bought a canister of high quality matcha while in Japan, thinking that the higher quality would be how I achieve perfectly blended tea. I was only half right. High quality does make a difference, but without the right tools, my tea was still turning out lumpy and bitter. (I have no idea how the way one whisks tea can change the taste, but I swear it did).Still avoiding buying a real tea whisk, I tried a milk frother, but only got semi correct results. Here we are, finally arrived at the right choice. I made a cup of tea and right away, I could see, feel, and taste the difference.This set is really pretty. It looks beautiful with my tea sets and collections. I have to praise the packaging too. If you want to buy this as a gift, you wouldn't need to wrap it. The box was so impressive. I'm keeping it for pretty storage. The bowl is a good, heavy weight, and I love the whisk stand. This option of the set doesn't come with a sieve, but I have one, so that isn't a problem.
