I used a piece to make a gasket for my bathroom faucet, it worked well. I think it is a good product with many uses, not limited to making gaskets.

I did need three of these, but exactly what I needed to protect my aquarium sump. I cut it to fit under my sump, and duck tapped them together. Looks good, and provides the needed cushion to protect my expensive sump.
