If you are hunting for it, you know it's good. Got lucky on the snag from Amazon at slightly raised MSRP from Newegg, but overall it's been worth it. Supporting a 9800x3d with zero issues and beautiful connectivity options.

24+2+1 power stages means there is almost no voltage fluctuation. This even fit into a regular ATX case, I just had to run most of the fans from the front instead of the side so I could put the cabling through there to the back. It has everything any regular gamer could possibly need in terms of m2 (ssd) slots, and there's no current need for anyone not actually rendering games/movies on their own to have more than 32mb of RAM across two sticks at 30CL, so even that is plenty. It has just enough USB ports of varying types for anything but the most extensive setups, and even then you could use splitters. Really, this is the top of the line cream of the crop of motherboards for serious gamers. With that said, if you're not running top of the line equipment and trying to overclock, this STILL can be worthwhile as an insurance policy for your expensive components. Definitely be sure to get a GPU physical arm support as there are no secondary attachments for any single PCIE port cards. Realistically, if you're not spending >$400 on your CPU/GPU, you don't need this, you don't even need a mobo over $150, but when you're spending almost $2k on the rest of your components, definitely consider this over any other mobo on the market if only for the incredibly longevity it can give to a CPU with that many power stages regulating the voltage.

Mother board functions as advertised. System fired up properly and without issue. Best of all you can turn off the RGB in the bios for those that don't like RGB but can't find standard good green boards like the old days.

Extremely fast operating frequency for CCD1 and CCD2 coming in at 5100Mhz. It's faster than the Gigabyte Aorus Elite (5040Mhz) and the Asus ROG Strix (5010Mhz). For the price you just can't beat it, it dominates boards that cost double the price. It doesn't have drivers for Windows 10 and you'll experience intermittent ethernet connection issues. The drivers work perfectly on Windows 11 though.Currently running my 9800X3D at 5.22Ghz with 6000mhz ram.

Bought the Taichi Lite X870e to replace a damaged MSI Carbon MPG (my preference). I got this because it was difficult to replace the Carbon at a sensible price or purchase the regular Taichi near list price. Simply put both of these boards are of superior construction compared to the Lite.Nonetheless, my computer is stable with Crucial Pro RAM 96GB (2x48GB), 9900X, Thermalright PS120SE air cooler, Corsair RM1000x PSU, and Samsung 980 PRO 2TB. Light overclocking using PBO and Expo.Buy the right RAM to avoid issues. The ASRock BIOS is excellent as usual. Linux users: I am running Proxmox 8.3 (Debian based) but using a USB to ethernet adapter until the on-board ethernet port is supported by kernel 6.xx or ASRock steps up. Another reviewer reported similar problems with the on-board ethernet port, so the issue is well known.I like this board. Just don't pay exorbitant prices to scalpers.

The Good:- extremely detailed enthusiast board with seemingly endless configuration options- top of the line features for futureproofing at an " " "Affordable" " " entry point to AM5 socket- tons of features (OC, EXPO, storage, fan profiles etccccc)- solid hardware compatibility (high speed DDR5, mass storage interfaces, PCI-E 5)- good looking piece of hardware, high build quality and attention to detailThe Bad:- Bios UI is... unforgiving, at least having never owned an ASRock board- you will reminisce about MSI's bios interface then remember the AM5 MSI reviews- you will be visiting the Bios a LOT to get the most out of your system- while in the Bios you will realize this is the real OS you were always meant to be using all along- you will visit Amazon.com from the Bios just to review this board- the color isn't really white, its more silver for the heatsinks and like a weird matte white backplateThe Ugly:My experience and expectations from this product:Migrated old Win10 install with all data from an older Z390 Intel system. It both worked without a Bios update, and a fresh Bios was already available from ASRock by the time I received the item. Aside from minor self-induced setup hick-ups the motherboard has been an absolute beast seamlessly handling all of my old data and combination of old and new hardware. Given this is an X870 board I have high expectations for AM5 and PCI-E 5 compatibility and expect to upgrade the CPU and GPU a few years down the line.
