About this item

  • Designed to attach camera body and telescope; because of limitation of eyepiece locking screw; better use it together with 2 inch or M48-extension tube to increase contact area between tube body and focuser of telescope to achieve better stability
  • Projection Features one locking thumbscrews to secure eyepiece; with brass compression insh to prevent marring of telescope eyepieces; for 1.25 inch eyepieces and also can be used as a focal adapter with a T2 thread; threaded for standard 2 inch filters
  • Features one locking thumbscrews to secure eyepiece; with a brass compression insh to prevent the marring of your telescope eyepieces
  • Compatible for both reflector and refractor telescopes with 2" eyepiece holders; dual design allows the user to make slight magnification adjustments without having to change telescope eyepieces
  • In addition; the adapter works well for refractor telescopes when in use for either prime-focus or telescope eyepiece-projection photography; made of black-anodized aluminum; durable for long time use

Product Design Highlights

  • The design of the internal thread can eliminate stray light and reflected light, and makes the captured image clearer.
  • Sliding barrel design allows for slight changes in magnification without swapping telescope eyepieces when performing eyepiece-projection photography.
  • With a brass compression insh to prevent the marring of your telescope accessories.(others haven’t)

6

Aluminium Alloy Material

  • All metal construction and anodizing aluminium process, durable for long time use.
  • High-quality aluminum material makes the product lighter and easier to carry.

7

Easy to Operate

  • Connect this adapter to each telescope with a 2" eyepiece connection. You can use an eyepiece of any focal length - and you can achieve high-magnification images of lunar craters and planets. All you need is a T2 ring and a suitable camera with a bayonet connector.

8

Two Adapters in One

  • The projection and focal adapter consists of two parts - the projection part and the focal adapter. The projection part is used with an eyepiece for achieving a long focal length with small objects, e.g. for individual craters. Use the focal adapter without the use of an eyepiece so employing the focal length of your telescope - for taking photos of the entire Moon, gas nebula or galaxy.

I got this to attach a 35mm camera to a telescope. Didn't work. Not the fault of the manufacturer.

Didn't know you had to buy the M48 Extension tube for it also. Won't fit without it.

The eyepiece holder boasts a "brass compression insh to prevent the marring of your telescope accessories". However, when tightened it misaligns the eyepiece (this is visibly noticeable if you inspect how flush the eyepiece base is after tightening with the eyepiece base flat on a table - it will be misaligned after you tighten the screw). The screw pushes the side nearest the screw slightly upward, tilting the eye-piece.As the whole purpose of this is for astrophotography, it renders the piece practically useless. Yes you can obtain nominal quality photos using this - but I can't recommend it.

Works well to get back focus in on the telescope. Sturdy metal.

I have a celestron evolution 8". I bought this to do astrophotography with my eyepieces and filters. I could find any way to attach this to my telescope. I can attach it to my camera. If I put an eyepiece in it, the end of the eyepiece does not protrude out far enough to screw into the score's 1 1/2" adapter. So this is unfortunately useless to me which is very disappointing. I am going to have to return it.

Threads were cut very poorly and were loose. I'm not hanging my expensive camera off of this.

It doesn’t fit my 2 inch focuser compression ring in my Explore Scientific ED 80. It’s a hair bigger and will not go in.
