Blood clots are not some thing to mess around with…..I bought this test to keep just in case I suspect something is wrong and efforts to expedite my medical information. Not always easy to get into see the doctor right away.

Das Testkit sollte eigentlich alles beinhalten, um den Test sofort durchführen zu können. Da ich mir regelmäßig Blutzucker teste, sollte das kein Problem sein. Leider fehlte die Pipette. Die Stechhilfe ist eine der einfachen Art, so dass ich lieber meine eigene Stechhilfe genommen habe. Den Bluttropfen habe ich direkt auf das Testfeld aufgebracht.Nach 10 Minuten Wartezeit das Ergebnis: negativ. So sollte es auch sein, denn ich habe keine Thrombose.Was bringt mir der Test? Ich dachte, bei meinen längeren Auslandsaufenthalten mit etlichen Flügen wäre er von Vorteil. Im Endeffekt müsste ich dann so oder so zum Arzt, wenn der Test positiv wäre. Vertraue ich dem Testergebnis? Nicht so recht.Bei Stress und körperlicher Anstrengung kann es zu einem erhöhten D-Dimer-Spiegel und damit zu einem falsch positiven Ergebnis kommen.Von daher würde ich das Testkit nicht kaufen.

Don’t waste your money. I ordered this test as I was concerned about ongoing symptoms following Covid. The test was positive causing huge anxiety. Off I went to the emergency GP who sent me to A&E for further tests to rule a blood clot, including a venous blood sample to test for d-dimer which came back negative. Lesson learnt…don’t order these cheap home tests on Amazon…go straight to the doctor!!

PROS-very good to have around, just in case I fear I’ve developed a clot-very simple to use and interpret (good diagrams right on the box).CONS-just one in the packageNOTES-this is a difficult item to review, since I won’t be using it unless I’m worrying about a clot.
