the quality is not reliable , the caps started to loose pressure after a 3 uses.

Decent case, parts seem like they should work. If you try to hand pump above ~20psi you get a leak on the common Japanese coolant pressure cap. Was hoping for a quality tool and this will either need modification or we'll need to get another one down the road.

Very Complete - very few kits I researched actually had an adapter for my BMW. This one does along with one for every other car our family owns.I like the anodized aluminum quality and the way the pieces snap solidly into the case. If you buy it, don't tell your friends you have one!

Professional's viewpoint: I have always borrowed a coworkers Astro 7858 Pressure tester, and decided I needed my own. Given the cost difference and additional adapters, I thought this would be just as good. I was wrong, and am returning it after 1 use. Pump gauge inaccurate and fluttery, adapters attach to pump hose very sloppily and loose, and the hand pump feels wobbly and cheap. I'm going back to Astro, that 7858 kit's hand pump has such a more fluid movement and reliable presssure increase.

So far it is great.I haven't had a chance to use all of the adapters yet and make sure they all will seal off, some I may never use.I mainly bought this for the GM adapter that screws onto the newer style coolant reservoir with an overflow. I must say I was not happy when it initially didn't seal off, but the problem was easily fixed by replacing the O-ring seal on the adaptor with one from the radiator cap.I have used it on several other vehicles since then, mainly with the traditional twist style cap and it has worked flawlessly.I finally used the vacuum fill function for the first time on a '13 Dodge Journey ( those have 2 thermostats! ) and it seemed to work well IMO.It seemed a little slow to me but it's the first I have ever used so fill time may be on par with others, I have no doubt it was faster than trying to pull hoses and fill the block and radiator with coolant in by hand, then running and repeating to purge any air pockets.Overall this is a really nice set for a great price and should handle most any cooling system out there. The instruction manual isn't the best but it will suffice, the only real instruction needed is on how to operate the vacuum fill attachment and that was adequate, you just have to flip pages back and forth to see the numbers to the parts mentioned because they didn't put it on the illustrations in the instructions, it's on the parts/contents list on the next page. The only other thing was I had to change the quick coupler nipple on the vacuum fill unit to fit my air hose, not a big deal, simply unscrew it and screw the correct style for your hose in.I use this in a professional shop and have not had it long enough to see how well it will hold up but from initially looking at it, it should last a long time.Update 8/7/19 - After over 4 years of use I have finally had one of the adapters fail and come apart. The center has come out of the #21 Adapter and it is one of the ones I use the most.It appears they are put together with grey RTV silicone.ATD does not sell to the public and so far I can not find a part # for the individual adapters so it looks like I may have to buy a complete adapter kit just to get one adapter unless I can repair mine with maybe some liquid steel or something similar.I noticed that the sealing O-rings on the adapters seem to be a bit oversized so they fit excessively tight, even using lubricant, and I believe this is what ultimately lead to the failure. Some adapters such as the older style domestic cap would not even fit until I changed the O-rings.Still, It has held up well for the amount I have used it - Keeping the rating at 4 stars due to the oversized O-ring seals and how the adapters are put together.

I first bought one at harbor freight and of corse the first car I got in a 01 dodge van there wasent one that would fit it...plus it had one piece that was broken...so I took it back and got this one...even tho it was 2 times higher than harbor freight I can test any car with this kit...plus there not plastic like the ones at harbor freight these are metal I like that part better also...I have already used this kit like 20 times and each time it worked great...so do your self a favor if you want a kit that will test any vehicle and you will use it a lot get this one...
